Founded in 2013 by Marie-Douce St-Jacques and designed by Baptiste Alchourroun and Amandine Guillard, Le laps [ “The Lapse” ] is a small independent publishing house that publishes texts on the fringes of literature, privileging the singular sensibility of artists from all horizons. Le laps creates intervals, luminous escapes to make these voices heard.
Despite our moderate publication rate (about 1 book per year), we are ready to examine any manuscript. Please note that we do not publish fiction or poetry, only essays, reflections, notebooks and conceptual or experimental projects – and mainly in the field of the arts.
